Official: Chelsea and Serie A giants complete £25m transfer of 23-year-old defender to join 1 july

Fikayo Tomori has finalised a £25 million move to the Serie A giants AC Milan from Chelsea, with the Italian outfit having exercised their option to buy the player on a permanent basis.

Having impressed during his time on loan at the San Siro outfit, the Canada-born England international has signed a four-year deal with the Rossoneri.

Tomori becomes the club’s second signing of the summer, with Mike Maignan having signed from Lille to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the exercising of the option for the permanent transfer of Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola Tomori from Chelsea,” a statement from AC Milan reads.

“The English defender, who made 22 appearances and scored one goal over the last season, will continue to play with the club until 30 June, 2025.”
